Do not talk the talk unless we are commited to walking the walk

*******************************************************

A shared moment of transparency

1 Cor 15:33Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character.

Guess I was not as strong as I imagined myself, Mr.Ormond Burns, being the focussed believer that I am...LOL... Went out with ahh "Friends". before the evening ended who would know I was a Christian..., Thank God for reconciliation but we can not live on 1 John 1:9 street forever and thereby taking for granted the mercy of GOD.

1 Cor 9:27 But [like a boxer] I buffet my body [handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships] and subdue it, for fear that after proclaiming to others the Gospel and things pertaining to it, I myself should become unfit [not stand the test, be unapproved and rejected as a counterfeit].

Love is a many splendored thing

Love is a many splendored thing

It's the April rose
That only grows in the early spring
Love is nature's way of giving
A reason to be living
The golden crown that makes a man a king

Yes, true Love's
A many splendid thing

We all  know the classic song , the song by the same title. I find it truly lines up with the Bible. GOD’s love is indeed splendid. GOD’s love for you is the love story of love stories_. How shall I explain this??? Well I will have to undoubtedly resort to the Bible for clarity and understanding on the greatest gift known to mankind, the love of GOD.

Perhaps you are saying within yourself, that song relates to romantic love. You are right but the analogy between Eros (romantic love) and agape (God’s love) is firmly established in the Bible. Consider this well known scripture:

Eph 5:25
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, Yes there are obvious parallels

Yes people our relationship with Jesus has love as a basis and without a sincere love for Jesus we will not succeed.

Love in action, Jesus sets the example, leads the way and establishes the precept, principle and method for Christian living.

1 John 4:10
In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.

Do you have someone you dislike??? Love is greater!!!!

I was talking with a Christian sister the other day, she was telling me all about the mistreatment she received from certain individuals, my response love them. We were loved in spite of ourselves and therefore we should likewise love others in spite of themselves.

Rom 5:8
But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.

Now if you only love those who love you then repent, you have missed the point entirely.

Luke 6:35
"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.

You see GOD only rewards you for loving those who do not love you back.

1 John 4:8
He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love.

To the haters, I am praying that hate is no longer your taskmaster and acquaint yourself with Jesus. Do you not want everlasting life?

John 3:16
For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

Are YOU caught up in in the rapture of true LOVE!!!

Song 1:15"How beautiful you are, my darling,
How beautiful you are!
Your
eyes are like doves.

The dove, a type of Christian , why the Dove?? because a Dove can only focus on one thing at a time?? We are focusing on Jesus and thereby experiencing and giving love.

Song 8:7"Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor will rivers overflow it;
