There is one thing that I have found to be sorely lacking in understanding by the church community at large - It is the reveled heart of a loving GOD shown in this simple verse..
Matt 12:7 "But if you had known what this means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A SACRIFICE,' you would not have condemned the innocent.
You know what I find so very sad ? Many SO CALLED CHRISTIANS even after reading this are still clueless- It is evidence that your heart is hard.
What am I talking about? Or better yet , what is this the Bible talking about with this verse is the real concern. It is simple GOD's Laws that demand a sacrifice can be overridden under certain conditions. Those conditions are when compassion is needed
Still do not get it?? Look at the context of the scripture. Jesus's disciples were picking corn and eating the grains on the Sabbath Day. The Pharisee's immediately asked Jesus , why He allowed His disciples to do what was unlawful on the Sabbath.
Jesus did not protest and say that picking corn on the Sabbath was right. Not at all , because picking corn on the sabbath was wrong.
Instead He said I desire compassion rather than sacrice and because my disciples were hungry and needed nourishment I had compassion on them.
Matt 12:1 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and His disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads of grain and eat.
Matt 12:2 But when the Pharisees saw this, they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath."
Matt 12:3 But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he became hungry, he and his companions,
Matt 12:4 how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat nor for those with him, but for the priests alone?
Matt 12:5 "Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and are innocent?
Matt 12:6 "But I say to you that something greater than the temple is here.
Matt 12:7 "But if you had known what this means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A SACRIFICE,' you would not have condemned the innocent.
Matt 12:8 "For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."
Did you know under old testament law the poor were not required to tithe. Why?? It was because GOD had compassion on them- where is that compassion today.
Eph 1:15 For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, Eph 1:16 do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; Eph 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Bible Economics 101 - Prov 16:11 A just balance and scales are the Lord's; all the weights of the bag are His work [established on His eternal principles]
If you are a thinking person, you have to wonder who is painting a clear picture of our nation's current economic crisis. Politicians only do what is needed to be reelected, and therefore their views are often distorted . As a Christian thinking person, whom I claim to be, I look to the Bible as the governing LAW that describes how our economy works and how it fails.
Let us start with Bible Economics 101 - Prov 16:11 A just balance and scales are the Lord's; all the weights of the bag are His work [established on His eternal principles].
When any economy no longer provides a just balance to the people it is a violation of GOD's law and therefore there will be consequences. The consequences are designed to restore equity and integrity to the economy.
As the scripture says a just balance and scales are of the Lord's - The Banking system is NOT based on a just balance. Here is a simple principle, lending can only occur when there is savings. If you ask me if i can lorn you a 100 dollars I can only lend you a 100 dollars if i have a 100 dollars. That is a just balance .
Here is how the Banking system works- If I go to the bank for a loan the bank does not have to have the money in savings from depositors to give me the loan. Not at all a larger central bank tells your bank go ahead and give you the loan anyway, and if neccessary we will have the treasury print more dollars if we run out.
Now the balance of currency has just be disrupted . Savings are critical to economic grwoth and security. In order to be in line with the Bible we must never borrow money that does not come from real savings. When you borrow money where there is no savings, you know what this is called???? It is called a "Ponzi Scheme". meaning there are no equitable assests involved.
I decided to write this post largely becuase of how so many people are ignorant of this basic finanacial principle.
Our Federal Reserve is increasing money supply dishonestly through a fancy word called "Quantitative Easing".
Many people refer to QE as the government printing money. Well that is not fully correct. This is how quantitative easing is done. The FED goes out and buys billions of dollars of US Treasuries. Their purchase then increases the demand for treasuries , artificailly rasining their value and thereby increasing the money supply in the economy. Basically it is all smoke and mirrors people.
Here is the danger in all of this like I wrote earlier , when you violate GOD's law you will suffer in the end. Our economy is being held up by artificial means and one day a stoem will come and a wind will blow. Because our economic foundation is artifical great will be the fall of this economy. If China or Japn decide to cash in their tresuries our monetary system will fall like a deck of cards.

Here is an interesting question people :) How did Jesus know when it was time for Him to go to the cross
Here is an interesting question people :) How did Jesus know when it was time for Him to go to the cross? Is there a particular event that ear marked this pivotal point in the ministry and life of Jesus Christ our LORD. All praise and honor and glory be ascribed to HIM now and forever.
Indeed there was a pivotal event. The event occurred when the greeks (The Gentiles) began to seek Jesus. John 12:20 Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast;
John 12:20n>Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast;
John 12:21 these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."
John 12:22 Philip *came and *told Andrew; Andrew and Philip *came and *told Jesus.
John 12:23 And Jesus *answered them, saying, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified..
Jesus did not respond by saying, tell then to come on in,let's talk. Jesus immediately said the time has arrived for the Son of Man to be glorified.
Jesus was sent to the Jewsih nation only. The ministry of the gentiles was for the Apostle Paul. That's right Jesus knew that when the greeks appeared Jesus knew times up.
The Apostle Paul declares-
Rom 11:13 But I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify my ministry

Prayer Life - I was told "Did not GOD hear you the first time, where is your faith, why are you still praying about that".
by Ormond Wellington Burns on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2:58am
My prayer life- I am often surprised when I hear people of faith say "All I we can do is pray". I feel this response in times of trouble is one in which we feel that, I have done eveything else to solve my problem so let me try prayer. Prayer becomes our last ditch effort to find a solution to some particular situation
I am sure our LORD would rather be the very first option instead of the last during our times of need. Do not make God our Father, the last choice make Him the very first choice .
I view prayer also as fellowship with GOD. In the early morning hours when we first arise out of sleep is for me a great time to be in fellowship with Jesus. The LORD knows I am seeking Him for one reason only, it is because I want to be with Him, my Lord and my God.
During the times when I have a need, my prayers will be persistent until an answer arrives . Sometimes I have been criticized regarding this persistence I have, when petitioning my Lord for an answer to prayer. I have been told that if I had faith I would pray about my need and leave it at the altar. I was told "Did not GOD hear you the first time, where is your faith".
Jesus told this parable on the subject of prayer;
Luke 18:3 And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, Protect and defend and give me justice against my adversary.
Luke 18:4 And for a time he would not; but later he said to himself, Though I have neither reverence or fear for God nor respect or consideration for man,
Luke 18:5 Yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will defend and protect and avenge her, lest she give me intolerable annoyance and wear me out by her continual coming or at the last she come and rail on me or assault me or strangle me.
Luke 18:6 Then the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says!
Luke 18:7 And will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf
The point Jesus made is clear , presistence pays off.
Luke 18:1 ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up)
There is a moment that occurrs during my prayers when I no longer pray about something. Perhaps you are thinking, when do I stop, is it when the answer to my prayer arrives? I can stop prayeing over a need when GOD settles the matter first in my heart. I get a feeling of great peace and comfort from the Holy Spirit, letting me know the answer is on the way.
Phil 4:6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
Phil 4:7 And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
GOD's presense overtakes my need and at that moment I no longer see the need I only se HIM.
We must realize that when we pray sometimes an answer will come but NOT to the specifics we may have outlined to GOD in our request. God answers nothing unless it is in accordance to and in harmony with HIS will.
Rom 8:26 So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
Rom 8:27 And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God's will
That should be a sobering revelation to many of us, it is the realization that it is not about us, it is ALL about GOD. Your prayer my brother and my sister will be will be revised , modified, perhaps substracted from or added to as it relates to the intent of GOD But when the answer comes in any format we shall rejoice and be satisfied.
Remeber the key to a succesful prayer life is to be persistent!!!!
Matt 7:7 Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you.
2 Matt 7:8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.

The end is near, The end is near , The end is near!!!!!!!! Oh really is that right
The end is near, The end is near , The end is near!!!!!!!! There has been much rhetoric out here in mainstream Christian circles that the return of Jesus is eminent. However we must take into account our short sighted outlook that precede these predictions. Let us view current events in context with world history. We find many critical times in the past 200 years or so that also made many people say the end is near. The civil war cost 6 million lives, surely that meant the end was near or War World II , untold millions were lost and we had the unleashing of the atom bomb. We could go on and name atrocity after atrocity and calamity after calamity and catastophy after catastrophy but these are only the beginning of sorrows ( birth pains).
Mark 13:8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines and calamities. This is but the beginning ofthe intolerable anguish and suffering [only the first of the birth pangs]
Here we are today with flares of uprising in different parts of the world and a depressed economy in the US and other parts of the world, along with weather patterns that we deem unusual. I had a recnet dream that spoke to me about pending tribulation , the Lord letting me know there will be a rocky road ahead. However, are these events enough to trigger thoughts about the pending return of Christ. Well let me say this !!! I am sooooooooo very glad we have the Holy Bible to rely on for answers. In simple terms the answer is - as bad as things might seem, we aint seen nothing YET!!!! The WORST IS YET TO COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mark 13:19 For at that time there will be such affliction (oppression and tribulation) as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created until this particular time--and positively never will be [again].
People we aint seen nothing yet, Many will say to me "Think Positive Dude, whats up with all your negative thinking" My response is this - the Bible was not written by Norman Vincent Peal, who authored the book "The Power of Positive Thinking".. Not at all, the Bible is a message of salvation to a lost and dying world" If you hear the voice of Jesus harden not your heart.
Rom 10:8 But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
Rom 10:10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
For the world the end may be here or perhaps for the world the end will be later. However, for you and me, the end is near, because we know unquestionably - Tomorrow is not promised!

Song 5:7 "The watchmen who make the rounds in the city found me, They struck me and wounded me;
I really love the Song of Solomon also called the Song of Songs. I am beginning to feel compelled to do a lesson around this prophetic scripture. The prophecy and it's fulfillment is indeed profound;
Song 5:7 "The watchmen who make the rounds in the city found me,
They struck me and wounded me;
The guardsmen of the walls took away my shawl from me.
Song 5:8 "I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem,
If you find my beloved,
As to what you will tell him:
For I am lovesick."
You will endure anything when you are love sick.
It is in our rejected state through being struck and wounded, by our spiritual caregivers (The Watchmen) and when we have been striped naked exposed and become vulnerable by the symbolic removing of the shawl that we become chosen by GOD .
The Stone that the builders reject will become the stone the Lord uses to Build His House, Christ Jesus being the Chief Corner Stone
1 Pet 2:4 And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,
1 Pet 2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ
Song 5:7 "The watchmen who make the rounds in the city found me,

The guardsmen of the walls took away my shawl from me.

I had a dream last night that really got my attention
Joel 2:28 And afterward I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions
I had a dream last night that really got my attention. I will not attempt to interpret this dream on my own so I sent a prayer to God our Father , in the name of Jesus and asked, Lord what does this dream mean? In the dream I was in my car going to an appointment and it started to rain, very slowly at first then it became a torrent. I was waiting at an intersection, wanting to make a right turn but the streets began filling up with water. The speed and force of the water was very powerful. There was no way I could proceed through the intersection, so I turned around to go back to the office. I was able to get back safely to the office . The storm was all over the news and had hit the entire country. President Obama was about to come on TV to address the nation. I went to the roof of the building to view the damages of this storm and while I was there huge billows of smoke suddenely shot up from the ground, "What was that" we said. It was very erie because following the smoke were huge billboard sized picters of people that went up into the sky and then disappeared. I was saying to myslef ,"Wow, this is carzy".
I did a Bible lesson earlier in the day on the following scripture. I am wondering if there is a relationship between what I dreamed and this Bible verse???
Song 8:7
"Many waters cannot quench love,
Nor will rivers overflow it;
If a man were to give all the riches of his house for love,
It would be utterly despised."
Water can mean many things in scripture and in dreams as well. Water can mean the WORD, but it also can mean trouble. Perhaps my dream represents pending trouble ?? I do not know. But one thing I do know is that as Song 8:7 says many waters can not quench love. Nothing shall separate us from the love of GOD which is in Christ Jesus Our LORD.
Rom 8:38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
Rom 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
