Where are the devil's interest occupied ? It says it right here, the things of men.The natual and not the spiritual man. Huge difference:

Matt 16:23 But Jesus turned away from Peter and said to him, Get behind Me, Satan! You are in My way [an offense and a hindrance and a snare to Me]; for you are minding what partakes not of the nature and quality of God, but of men.

 This is why we are to walk (live) by means of the spirit and not the flesh in order to be instep with God and out of step with the world.

Gal 5:16 But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).
