Luke 22:20
And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.
Let us be aware that the contract or covenant made by Jesus on our behalf, is the highest and most enforceable agreement known to mankind.
The only way a blood covenant can be broken is through death. And since we have a savior who has conquered death our covenant remains forever .
1 Cor 15:55
"O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"
But are you aware of another blood covenant that we have available to us???? Most of us did not know that it is actually a blood covenant but it truly is. I am talking about the marriage covenant. It is also a blood covenant, the union of a man and a woman.
God design the woman in such a way that when a marriage is consummated the hymen of the virgin is broken and blood is released signaling that now a blood covenant has been made. And in accordance with the rules of this covenant it is enforceable until the death of either the man or the woman.
Rom 7:2
For the married woman is bound by law to her husband while he is living; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband
Now I could discuss this topic for ages however my motivation for writing this post comes from an increasing awareness of how far we have fallen from the structure GOD designed to secure intimate relationships.
As a nation and as Christians we should be broken and thoroughly repentant about our current condition in regards to marriage.
Virginity is now scorned and relationships are so undervalued that they mean nothing !!!
Is 5:20
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
We are experiencing in our lifetimes the consequences of our sins... We are now embracing the wrong and rejecting what is right as displayed and proven in our behavior.
WAKE UP!!!! It is a Blood Covenant!!!
Our economic condition and the myriad of ills facing society is not simply a run of bad luck.
As sin increases the consequences multiply... Do not be fooled, Do Not be deceived
John 5:14
Afterward Jesus *found him in the temple and said to him, "Behold, you have become well; do not sin anymore, so that nothing worse happens to you."
I would have to say when the family gets out of order then the world is out of order. If the man and woman has broken covenant then the results are broken lives. Our first order relationship is with the Lord Jesus.. and then my friends it is our spouse if we are married.
Now I didn't get it right... I am divorced . In my case I can not rearrange the past but I can do a whole lot with my future. If I sin now I am doing it with my eyes wide open. I now know better.
Let me be a little transparent for a moment. My parents were never married to each other even though I have my Father's last name, neither were my mothers parents ever married to each other, and my mother's mother's parents were not married either. Now they did get married but not to the father involved in conception of my mother and grandmother. I was the third generation with this sin operating in my life... the trauma that I experienced well...well I have a testimony ....
Ex 34:7
who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations."
But on July 21, 1984 when I became saved , born again , born from above a new law became in effect for for me. The spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
Rom 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
Please understand doing things outside the design of GOD will bring a destructive force over your life.
We must instruct our daughters and our son's of the necessity of living a chaste life. Sex is the fullest expression of intimacy and it is designed to be done in a condition of covenant. That is why it is called Holy Matrimony.. Today what was Holy is now defamed and shameful.
Heb 13:4
Let marriage be held in honor (esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear) in all things. And thus let the marriage bed be undefiled (kept undishonored); for God will judge and punish the unchaste [all guilty of sexual vice] and adulterous.
I spoke about GOD's judgement in regard to unlawful sex outside the blood covenant that GOD created marriage to function within.
Here are some of the consequences.
1. A feeling that you really do not belong, a reluctance to participate in activities unless invited.
2. Self esteem issues having the need to always please others over and beyond your own needs.
3. Developmental problems
4, Rebellion against authority.
4. Fear of abandonement.
5. Lust.
6. Anger but not understanding why you are angry.
Our world is producing an entire generation of children born under this curse...We must turn..this around... at the least it must be done within the Family of GOD the Church...
2 Chr 7:14
and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land
Let us no longer defile the Glorious name of Jesus...if you have sex outside of marriage yes you have now defiled the very temple the houses the Spirit of the Living GOD... Do not be deceived there are consequences..
1 Cor 11:30
For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep.
1 Cor 11:31
But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged.
1 Cor 11:32
But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world.
If we confess our sins and turn away from the sin we will be forgiven restored and the penalty the consequences will be removed.. Praise His NAME..
James 5:16
Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
Let us operate our lives with respect to the covenant we have with our Lord and the covenant we have with our spouse, and even the future wife or husband. Obey GOD and save that most precious gift to someone deserving . IN the fear of GOD let us recognize this is an agreement, a contract written in BLOOD.
