2 Pet 1:20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation,
2 Pet 1:21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
Prophecy of the crucifixion -
Ps 22:16 For dogs have surrounded me;
A band of evildoers has encompassed me;
They pierced my hands and my feet.
Ps 22:17 I can count all my bones.
They look, they stare at me;
Ps 22:18 They divide my garments among them,
And for my clothing they cast lots.
Fulfillment of the Prophecy:
Matt 27:34 they gave Him wine to drink mixed with gall; and after tasting it, He was unwilling to drink.
Matt 27:35 And when they had crucified Him, they divided up His garments among themselves by casting lots.
Matt 27:36 And sitting down, they began to keep watch over Him there.
Matt 27:37 And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, "THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
Prophecy of the Resurrection:
Ps 118:22 The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.
Ps 118:23 This is the LORD'S doing;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
Ps 118:24 This is the day which the LORD has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Fulfillment of Prophecy:
Acts 4:10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead--by this name this man stands here before you in good health.
Acts 4:11 "He is the STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone.
