Here is an interesting question people :) How did Jesus know when it was time for Him to go to the cross? Is there a particular event that ear marked this pivotal point in the ministry and life of Jesus Christ our LORD. All praise and honor and glory be ascribed to HIM now and forever.
Indeed there was a pivotal event. The event occurred when the greeks (The Gentiles) began to seek Jesus. John 12:20 Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast;
John 12:20n>Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast;
John 12:21 these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."
John 12:22 Philip *came and *told Andrew; Andrew and Philip *came and *told Jesus.
John 12:23 And Jesus *answered them, saying, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified..
Jesus did not respond by saying, tell then to come on in,let's talk. Jesus immediately said the time has arrived for the Son of Man to be glorified.
Jesus was sent to the Jewsih nation only. The ministry of the gentiles was for the Apostle Paul. That's right Jesus knew that when the greeks appeared Jesus knew times up.
The Apostle Paul declares-
Rom 11:13 But I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Inasmuch then as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify my ministry
